Orange and Green Wedding flowers anyone??

Over a year ago now Vi came to see me to arrange her Flowers for her Engagement party,
Today it was my pleasure to arrange her flowers for her Wedding day!!

I feel like I am almost part of the family now since I have know Vi she has been
a breath of fresh air..  An absolutely gorgeous girl marrying a very dashing groom today..
I am soo happy for these two love birds!!

For Vi's Wedding she chose a colour scheme of Lime green and Orange flowers to co-ordinate
with the Bridesmaids gowns - not the traditional colours for a Wedding, but very striking none-the-less.
We chose orange Calla lilies in season from our Local Melbourne Growers mixed with imported
Green cymbidium orchids for the Bride and groom and Dendrobium green orchids forthe Bridal party..

I chose a dark rhubarb cordalyne leaf feature skirting base with touches of gold embelishments to accent
the colours of the cymbidium orchid  throats, which gave way for an autumn look to these stunning bouquets..

These colours were also used to flow through to the Church decorations at Our lady of Mount Carmel and reception at the Crystal palace Canley Heights....

Here are some of the pics of Vi's Wedding arrangements:
which included Lime celosia, crysanthemums, tiger lilies, gerbera, gladioli, dendromium orchids,
heliconas, lotus pods, green willow with tall cordalyne..

Conco Doro Wedding decorations Sydney

This had to be one of the most anticipated Weddings' of the year and it was a pleasure to
take part in my little cousin Rami & Rola's Wedding last weekend held at the Amazzzzzing
Conco Doro Events centre - Riverwood..

Rola's bridesmaids wore black dress with chested gold embelishments- so we set the
theme around the gold and black which also worked well for the Conco doro reception!
She also had aspirations for feathers, crystals & lots of gold features..
Ofcourse we had to shake things up a little and do something a little different for them..
Well it is family and we have all been to the same Weddings and mostly we have seen it
all done before - so yes we did have to come up with something different, stunning and all at the
same time something to suit the Grand classic ballroom of the beautiful Conco doro!!
It was mind boggling to say the least and Rami was not convinced, but we all loved the final
result on the day!!

Wedding celebrations Sydney
I don't care what anyone else thinks but nothing quite can top a traditional
Wedding with all the noise of the darbaki (is that how you spell it??)
If you can't handle the noise than you really don't know what you are missing!!
If you were falling asleep at any stage before this- you would definately
be wide awake right about now...

Feather Table centrepieces Sydney- Emporium Bankstown decorations

For a nice change we had the opportunity to decorate a Christening party for baby "Zander"
at the Emporium function centre- Bankstown Sydney last weekend..

Christie wanted something stunning in terms of decorations for her son Zander's Christening
and we chose something a little bolder than the typical baby blue!
Instead we used a combination of Turquoise & lime green feathers arranged in tall pilsner vases
with the led light bases which added the mood and ambience to this stunning party room!

Damask themed Wedding Sydney - Doltone house decorations

Well we knew we would start of 2011 with a bang!
New House, New studio, new locations and new & fresh Ideas and
amazingly gorgeous clients!!

It was a pleasure creating this Damask theme decorations for Sabrina & Noels'
Big day!  The Wedding venue was absolutely perfect backdrop for damask,
with the black & white checker dance floor and soft furnishing etc..

We put together black ceramic vases for the bridal table and added the pearl/ damask features
to each of these to create the theme..

For the guest tables we used our Damask table runners with
alternating centrepieces of our black wrought iron candelabras topped with fresh
Red Pomander's flower balls & which inclued carnations gerbera daisy and red roses to
match the black & white damask theme with splashes of red!

And also the tall cylinder vases with white willow & red spider vanda
orchids was a great contrast of texture to suit the theme..

The fresh pomanders were a lot of work but oh sooo worth the effort!
So much more effective than the fake flowers..

I love our Damask print Table runners.... very elegant, would also work well with white flowers
or green!!

Congratulations to Sabrina & Noel!
All the best for you both xx:)

Happy New Year flower lovers & friends xx

It has been a while since our last blog, well we have been a tad busy..
Moving house/ studio did take us a little longer than I had anticipated,
well after 10+ years of accumilating bits and pieces it finally dawned on me,
we have way too much stuff, clothes, kids toys, crockery, etc..
It was time to de-clutter and well now we are half way there.
So if you are planning a Wedding, function or any special event
feel free to come visit us at our new studio at Greystanes.

Happy New year to all our loving friends, family and clients!!
We are ready for an amazing year of new & fresh ideas, and looking forward to
putting together some amazing new Events in 2011..
